RGB Electrical Services & Supplies Inc. are pleased to announce that they have recently acquired the services of Mr. Peter Kennerley as Technical Director for RGB UK.

Peter has worked in the Marine and Offshore Industry for over 30 years and started his professional career as a Marine Electrical Apprentice with British Shipbuilders back in 1980. Peter recently gaining his Master's level degree in Engineering with The Open University, UK, In July 2013, While working overseas in Asia. Peter has extensive experience with new builds and ship repairs having worked in Europe and Asia in the capacity of Classification Surveyor or Ship Owner Superintendant.

His most recent work has included LNG as fuel, on projects such as Shells Prelude FLNG and Teekay's MEGI Tankers, and a member of the International Association of Classification Societies Ltd. (IACS) technical review team, supporting reviews of the new IGF code.

He was recently appointed as Chairman to the International Electrotechnical Commission, Technical Committee IEC TC/18, Which looks to prepare standards for electrical installations and equipment of ships and of mobile and fixed offshore units. Peter is also an active member of the UK National Committee for standards development through BSI UK.

Peter stated he was 'Looking forward to working in the challenging but exciting UK Marine and Offshore Markets".
