RGB Electrical following up on the redundancy related projects initiated through Carnival Corporation began working with HAL on configurations and distribution for several of their fleet ships.
Initially the focus was on the new Auxiliary Generator AEDG and the distribution configuration(s) onboard the Signature class fleet. Recommendations were made for the enhancement of the redundancy with respect to passenger comfort and critical operations equipment following various defined failure modes including ER fires.
Allot of emphasis was placed upon the propulsion design, cabling and rerouting to prevent a single point failure immobilizing the ship.
The project is ongoing and we are actively involved with HAL in finding the best cost effective solutions.
